Education
Dr. Eloy Zamarron, Jr. graduated from the University of Nuevo Leon School of Medicine with an MD in 1980. Upon graduation, Dr. Zamarron completed an internship in internal medicine from 1980-1981.
Following years of work with medical-related facilities/studies, Dr. Zamarron began his residency training in Family Practice at the University of Kansas Medical Center and completed it at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. He completed his residency and obtained his board certification in 1994.
History
Dr. Zamarron has been serving the Laredo community since 1995. He is a staff member with the Doctors Hospital of Laredo, and Laredo Mercy Hospital.
He serves as the Men's Ministries Director of Iglesia Cristiana Misericordia, and is the Secretary/Treasurer for the Webb, Zapata, Jim Hogg County Medical Society.
Interests
Enjoys Tennis and is a member of the US Tennis Association.
Awards
Dr. Zamarron received two awards for humanitarian labor while apart of the Christian Medical Society in Monterrey, Mexico. This was due to his participation in free medical care programs for indigent people located in rural areas.
